About the Guide
LakeMom and LakeGirl
I am a mom with a college age child. I also went to college (several years ago!). My daughter is in her last year of college. She will also help on this journey. We have a great relationship – we discuss many things related to college life. We are excited to share our information & knowledge with others getting ready to enter into this journey. Helping parents and college students with some tips, tricks and ideas to get through the college years is our passion. We want to help high school students and students already in college create some lasting key life skills. We believe that we can provide some realistic and progressive information for both the parent & the child. We will offer advice, insight, tips, and ideas from both perspectives: parent & child. We will strive to become a preferred spot for parents and children to reference on their journey through the college years.

Thanks for the mention of College Parent Central’s article about roommates in your roommate post. Whether or not students get along with their roommates can make such a difference in their college experience.
Good luck with your Guide to College Life. There is so much for parents and students to think about as they begin the college experience that it is great to have information available. I think students will especially appreciate the recipes that you share. Great practical advice!
